Trevor Bayne, driving for Wood Brothers Racing and making only his second Sprint Cup start, has won the 53rd running of the Daytona 500. Bayne's victory put Wood Brothers Racing back in Victory Lane after 10 years and handed them their first Daytona 500 victory since 1976. Five-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson and three-time Daytona 500 winner Jeff Gordon ended up in the garage after a 14-car wreck on Lap 29. With many of NASCAR's best drivers out of contention, Bayne ended up with the opportunity of his young career. There were 74 lead changes among 22 drivers and 16 cautions, all track records. Daytona International Speedway asked for a moment of silence on the third lap of the Daytona 500 as a tribute to the late Dale Earnhardt. The 2011 Daytona 500 DVD Contains the Complete, Commercial Free, Unedited Network Broadcast in Fullscreen Digital Video. Bonus Features: Post Race and Victory Lane Coverage

Note: I saw this race. It was Great! Lots of Crashes and Pile-ups! But the best part was Trevor Bayne who, had just turned 20 years old (February 19, 2011). You see, Trevor, once he had won the race. Didn't know what to do. And then, couldn't even find the Winner's Circle. A great kid, and a race, that is one for the history books.
